Cleveland Williams, a 6ft 31/2in slab of muscle was one of the hardest punchers who ever lived, Williams was WBA No1 contender for Floyd Pattersons heavyweight title in 1959 but Patterson fought and lost to Ingemar Johansson which started a 3 fight series, so Williams fought Sonny Liston twice and was KOd twice.. he fought his way back to the top realling off 11 straight wins but was then shot and the bullet was lodged in his pelvic bone where it remained for the rest of his life...The above video is testement to `Big-Cats`devastating punching power, he nearly knocked a hole threw his opponent as you could see by the agony the guy was in.. if you watch his fights with Liston you can clearly see the tremendous physical condition the guy is in as he is rippling with muscles, Cleveland Williams was very unlucky to never become the Heavyweight Champion of the World

It's a shame that he's often remembered as the pale shadow that played the stooge to Ali in arguably the best 9 minutes of Ali's career. There's no comparison between the before and after shooting Cleveland.

Nice find. Pretty devastating left hooks there.
