some of the better heavyweights have been smaller men. As long as they structurally are tough and big enough. Holyfield looked pretty damn strong for a 208 lb boxer.
Louis was a 200- 205 lb fighter, but that's cut. He could possibly make cruiserweight in his younger years like Holyfield did, then move up with age and be a strong HW.
Ali was only 210 in his prime, as he aged his prime was about 217.
Tyson's prime was about 215-217 as well.
Foreman's prime was about 220..as he got older he was 250 and wasn't even nearly as fat as some of the pigs around today.
theres not to many Boxers around right now that are legitimately larger HW's. We got Lewis, who's at his peak just shy of 235-240. Lewis was a big man.
Same with the Kbros, cut and at there peak they are just over 230 lbs. Big men. Every boxer puts on weight as they age however. Even Ali ended at what 235? He still wasn't as fat as Sam Peter.
