"Anyone who knows boxing would rate Walcott and Moore over Wlad" At heavyweight?

Show me a list made by boxing experts that does so?

Before both the Walcott and Moore fight the press were referring to both of them as both old men.

Walcott in the Ring was called "Grandpappy, and Old Man River.

Walcott did not improve in his middle thirties he just got better management, finance,a better diet, and opportunities to train regularly.

Walcott did not retire early ,38 in the 50's was old for a boxer .

Charles did NOT take Louis's title he won an eliminator against Walcott for the vacant title.

Louis had been retired for 3 years when back taxes forced him back in the ring against Charles. Louis,in his autobiography stated that, in his prime he would have taken Charles out in about 7 rounds.

Provide a quote in which Walcott says he was better when in his late 30's?

I know a hell of a lot more about Arnold Cream than you do ,including the fact that he was mobbed up!
so Walcott did get better. All you did was explain how he got better in his late 30s. He got himself in good shape, he practiced his craft.

38 was old back then because fighters fought very frequently and started young. Harry Greb was 32 and had 300 fights.

walcott didn’t have a lot of fights, he still had a lot of fight left in him. Before he met Rock he was considered a formidable fighter.

      You said ;

and by the way, if you knew anything about Walcott in particular - you would know his prime and best days came later in his career.

Walcott ,at 38 was past his prime.

He did not,"still have a lot of fight left in him".

Starting young and fighting very frequently, totally contradicts ."he didn't have many fights!"

He retired after electing to stay down in their 2nd fight.Jersey Joe had 70 fights over an18 year career he was on the way out!

Greb was past his prime at 32 when he died on the operating table.Research it!

        Yer welcome...
Your post is like a carny act. Feed the queen bee and listen to the nonsense and laugh. I can't believe you actually believe this. Some sports allow for cross pollination for example I think wilt the stilt could take out the entire Jamaican bobsledding team. When we going to put those big boy pants on slugger?

Chamberlain pulled out of the proposed fight after being on the TV with Ali and Cossell,it's a matter of public record and I posted the news article here last year.

            - - U posted squat on shinola.

The fight was proposed, managers drew up contracts with Cosell wanting to host the presser and signing. When Ali and Herbert actually saw the size and stength of Wilt in the flesh, he shat it and refused on a widely watch public sport show. Not long after Ali suspended from Boxing and Wilt back in the NBA with yet another raise of his already record millionaire contract.

Thereafter he used negotiations as a NBA bargaining chip because Boxing Ali didn't pay squat on shinola much like U paygrade.

Arum said that Chamberlain was close to signing the contract that he appeared at the Astrodome as agreed upon. But while there, the Lakers continued to pursue him to sign a new contract, which killed the fight.

Chamberlain and his lawyer excused themselves, went in the next room and called Cooke in Los Angeles and quickly agreed to the terms of the basketball contract, thus ending Chamberlain's pro boxing career before it even started."
Arum would insinuate in interviews that Chamberlain got scared of Ali after the boxer taunted him, "Timber! The tree will fall." During the supposed signing, he immediately called the Lakers that he would sign with them.

However, Chamberlain later said his father convinced him to ditch the fight and work on his free throws instead. Wilt's foul shooting didn't improve, but he played two more seasons with the Lakers and won a second championship in 1972 before retiring in 1973.

                - - Don't matter what Arum say or what U squat.

Cosell's sport segment was broadcast and at one point Wilt even pulled out his pin to try and give to Ali who would have nothing to do with it.

U as hopeless as U is hapless. Too late to sue U parents, eh?

                    - - The fight was explored over the years several times, but as mentioned to U dullard, after Ali refused to sign the first go round in 1967, Wilt made a deal that gave him a big raise on his already Titanic Laker salary, so subsequent fight explorations where just leveraging the Lakers for more $$$. Boxing could never pay Wilt 30% of what he was making with the Lakers much less 100%.

U, Jabbywank, and Teensy are by far the Dumberest of the Dumberest I've ever seen on boxing forums.

                    • Lol. What's fun about inventing and perpetuating this Wilt Chamberlain myth?
                      He would've made a terrible boxer/fighter.

There's no jumping with your arms in the air in boxing.
Mike "The Giant" White would've ripped Chamberlain's head off, on the street or in the ring; and so would any man Ali ever fought.
Being a great athlete is just one small part of being an effective fighter.
