Because really, the difference between the Leonard that fought Duran 3 / Hearns 2 and the Leonard that fought Norris was NIGHT and day. Yet it was only a year apart.

Norris only had been KO'd by julian jackson at that point which doesnt mean his chin was bad, just that he was unable to maintain a perfect defense with jackson.


SRL had a style based on handspeed and reflexes, which usually reflexes declines first. Royjones still had fast hands at his twilight but his timing/reflexes were shot. Khan has fast hands too but his timing/reflexes are shot.

Norris wasnt afraid to take a few to land his, he threw a lot at leonard, he got caught some but they werent as crisp as leonard's punches in his prime and he was the naturally bigger guy, he had fast hands himself and was landing shots on leonard that in his prime he would have slipped.
