German-Turkish heavyweight Erkan Teper (13-0, 9KOs) won the vacant EU title with an eighth round stoppage of Newfel Outah (12-1, 8KOs) tonight in Munich (Germany) on a show staged by Z! Promotion. Outah retired on his stool and didn´t come out for round eight.
Scoring after seven was split with Teper up by four points on two cards and trailing on the third. The new champion has a mandatory defense coming up against Johan Duhaupas, the previous title holder. Outah came in on short notice for the injured Duhaupas.
