Chantelle Cameron will return to the ring in three weeks’ time after recording her second victory in the paid ranks.
The Northampton-born former Team GB star, who is now trained by Shane McGuigan at his Battersea base, turned over recently and –– after beating Korina Kopinska on her debut –– went one better to grab her first stoppage.
Cameron, 24, ended the challenge of Bojana Libiszewska inside the fourth of six two-minute rounds, exclusively live on Spike TV, as part of the undercard of Josh Taylor’s clash with Ohara Davies at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow.
She was dominant from start to finish and Cameron caught her foreign foe with a big right hand on the opening bell, sending Libiszewska’s senses scrambling and forcing her to hold on and enter survival mode early on.
The pattern of the fight continued in such fashion, with the Pole failing to adapt under the incessant pressure of Cameron.
It was one-sided and the referee, Kevin McIntyre, decided that he had seen enough, shortly before the end of the first minute of round four.
Cameron will now go on to box on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s showdown against Andres Gutierrez on July 29 at the SSE Arena in Belfast, with trainer Shane McGuigan revealing that she could be stepped up to an eight-round outing.
Elsewhere on the undercard, Stephen Simmons is targeting a shot at the British cruiserweight title on the back of a disqualification victory against Lukasz Rusiewicz and there were wins for Iain Trotter, Gary Murray and Aston Brown.
