Two title fights along with local talent are appearing on a card before fans that are very knowledgeable about the sport of boxing.

On March 15th, super middleweight contender Maxim Vlasov will fight Henry Buchanan in a scheduled 12 round bout at the Performing Arts Center in Oxnard, CA. Both will be fighting for the vacant NABO super middleweight title.

In the co-feature bout, Maureen Shea and Dayana Cordero will square off for the vacant interim WBO featherweight title.

The two bouts will headline a seven-bout “ICE vs. FIRE II” card, presented by Top Players Promotions.

Vlasov (28-1, 14 KOs) hails from Samara, Russia and trains in Oxnard, CA. He has won his last nine bouts in a row since losing a close 10 round unanimous decision to Isaac Chilemba three years ago.

The 27-year-old Vlasov is ranked amongst the top 10 in three of the major sanctioning bodies. An impressive win over Buchanan could lead to a possible world title opportunity.

In his last bout on December 5th, Vlasov knocked out Maxell Taylor in the fourth round of a scheduled eight round bout in Costa Mesa, CA.

Buchanan (21-3, 14 KOs) lives in Capital Heights, MD and is coming off a third round technical knockout over William Gill on December 14th in Washington, D.C.

Buchanan’s three losses are against fighters with a combined record of 79-4-2. His most notable fight was a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision defeat at the hands of Andre Ward.

Like Vlasov, Shea has won her last nine bouts in a row. In her last fight on October 23rd, Shea is coming off a six round unanimous decision over Lesly Morales in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

Shea was born and raised in the Bronx, NY, but migrated to Ventura, CA, one town over from Oxnard. She trains at the Knuckleheadz Gym in Ventura.

Despite being only 18 years of age, Cordero (13-4-1, 9 KOs) has already fought four times for a version of a world title belt, losing three of those bouts.

Unbeaten in her last four bouts, Cordero, who resides in Barranquilla, Colombia fought to a 10 round majority decision draw against Sayda Mosquera on October 19th.

Javier Garcia, Irving Garcia, Daniel Franco, Robert Garcia, and Indian Banuelos, who live or train in the local area, will fight in separate preliminary bouts.

Tickets, which start at $35, are already on sale at topplayerspromotions.com and at the Performing Arts Center box office.

Doors are scheduled to open at 6PM, with first bell scheduled at 7PM.

The Performing Arts Center is located at 800 Hobson Way in Oxnard.
