Nate Jones, assistant trainer to five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26 KOs), is worried that UFC superstar Conor McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) - who has a temper - might get so frustrated that he might resort to illegal mixed martial arts maneuvers.

Mayweather vs. McGregor is scheduled to take place on August 26th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

McGregor, while considered to be one of the best pound-for-pound MMA fighters in the world, has no experience in professional boxing.

Many experts are predicting a one-sided wipeout by Mayweather, who most expect will frustrate and outbox McGregor with ease.

Jones is concerned that McGregor, in the heat of the moment, might hurt Mayweather with an illegal move like an elbow, take-down or something of the sort.

That's unlikely to happen as there are clauses in the contract, which prohibit any illegal non-boxing moves. If McGregor violates that agreement, it will cost him a lot of money.

But Jones is also concerned for other reasons as well. Mayweather is now 40-years-old, he's been inactive for two-years, and the fight is taking place at 154-pounds where McGregor will be a much bigger fighter.

“One way I can see the fight ending is Floyd outboxing him, beating the crap out of him,” Jones said to Submission Radio. “Another way I’m going to be concerned about is when Floyd gets to a point where he frustrates him too much, McGregor’s going to do something crazy. That’s the only thing I’m worried about.”

“I'm more concerned about this fight because Floyd’s a little older now. He’s 40 years old. McGregor has crazy weird power, and he’s got weird shots from weird angles. I’m worried about that. But for my prediction in the fight, is Floyd either confusing him and frustrating him and stopping him in the later rounds, or Floyd outboxing him, or (McGregor) doing something stupid and losing the fight. That’s my prediction.”
