Unified junior featherweight champion Ellie Scotney is among four new signings announced by Most Valuable Promotions this morning, as the Jake Paul/Nakisa Bidarian-helmed company continues to expand its roster of female fighters.

Britain's Scotney, 10-0, is joined by American IBF bantamweight titlist Shuretta Metcalf, 14-4-1 (2 KOs), Spain's WBA interim featherweight titlist Jennifer Miranda, 12-0 (1 KO), and undefeated featherweight Elizabeth Oshoba, 9-0 (5 KOs) from Nigeria.

The signings follow the announcement that multi-weight champion Amanda Serrano will see out her in-ring career under the MVP banner before transitioning to become Chair of MVP's women's boxing initiatives, where she will spearhead efforts to identify, sign, develop, and market female athletes for the company. They also come three weeks after MVP announced the signing of undisputed 130 pound champion Alycia Baumgardner and a week after the company revealed that the American would make her MVP debut against Miranda on the undercard of Serrano's third meeting with Katie Taylor at Madison Square Garden on July 11.

Scotney won the IBF title from Cherneka Johnson in June 2023 before adding the WBO belt against Segolene Lefebvre in April 2024.

“Becoming a unified super bantamweight world champion has been the result of years of grit, sacrifice, and passion—and now, with the backing of MVP, Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, I’m ready to take things to the next level,” she said. “MVP is breaking barriers for women’s boxing, and I’m proud to be part of a movement that’s creating real change and global opportunities for female fighters. This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to show the world what’s next.”

Shuretta turned to underground boxing in 2012 to support her two children, one of whom is autistic, and fought over 100 times, sometimes as often as twice a week, before turning pro in 2016. She won the IBF title against Miyo Yoshida In October 2024.

Miranda started boxing at 23 and was a nine-time consecutive national champion as an amateur before switching to the paid ranks in 2018. Her clash with Baumgardner will be her seventh title fight in her 13th pro bout.

Oshoba is a six-time Nigerian amateur champion and won silver at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She relocated to the UK in 2022 to pursue her professional career and most recently defeated Lenka Volejnikova in March.

“From day one, we said MVP would be a force for change in boxing—and a cornerstone of that statement has been supporting women's boxing like no one has before. Today we are excited to have four more powerful women join our roster,” said Bidarian and Paul in a statement. “Ellie Scotney is going to become one of the top names in the sport in short order. Shurretta Metcalf defines the determination required for being great. Elizabeth Oshoba has the power to put the entire 126 lb division on KO notice now, and Jennifer Miranda signifies what we look for in all athletes, inside and outside the ring.”
