Three fights have been added to the “Cuban Boxing Night" card on April 11 at Melia Internacional in Varadero, Cuba, it was announced by Agon Sports.
Moussa Gholam, 22-1 (13 KOs), of Spain by way of Morocco will face Misael Vasquez, 17-4-1 (15 KOs), of the Dominican Republic in a battle of junior lightweights.
Also announced is that Arlen Lopez the two-time Olympic Gold medal winner with a 3-0 (2 KOs) record in the pros, will meet Argentinian Martin Ezequiel Bulacio (14-8). This fight will be for the vacant WBA Continental America title at light heavyweight.
Lazaro Alvarez, a three-time world champion in the amateurs and three time Olympic bronze medal winner, will square off against Dominican Miguel Queliz Santos (10-0-1) with the vacant WBA Continental American title at lightweight at stake. The 34-year-old Alvarez is 6-0 (3 KOs) as a pro.
At home in Germany, Agon has announced the return of another Cuban, big heavyweight Carlos "Hulk" Castillo Rodriguez, 5-0 (3 KOs), who is back in action April 5 in Hamburg against an opponent to be announced. The 28-year-old Rodriguez has been inactive since 2023.
