Junior welterweight Adrian Granados is done waiting for a big fight.
Granados will face veteran Ariel Vasquez in a stay-busy bout on Saturday night, manager Andrew Zak told Boxingscene.com Thursday afternoon.
The eight round bout will take place at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Ariz.
Granados has not fought since November 28, when he pulled off a major upset in knocking out Amir Imam in the eighth round. Imam entered the bout as the mandatory challenger for the WBC title.
Granados (17-4-2, 12 KOs), who resides in Chicago, Ill., has won his last four bouts.
All four of Granados’ losses have come either by split or majority decision. His last three losses have come against Frankie Gomez, Felix Diaz, and Brad Solomon.
Vasquez (12-15-2, 8 KOs), who resides in Managua, Nicaragua, has lost his last seven bouts, six of those to unbeaten prospects.
Also fighting in an eight round bout is unbeaten featherweight Carlos Castro (15-0, 6 KOs).
Iron Boy Boxing is promoting Saturday’s card.
