Frank Martin and Jerry Perez hope to make a name for themselves atop a show that caught many in the industry by surprise.

Both boxers made weight for the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on FS1 main event between unbeaten lightweights. The scheduled 10-round bout headlines a telecast largely kept under wraps until a few days ago but will air live from Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

Indianapolis’ Martin (12-0, 9KOs) weighed 134.4 pounds for his first televised bout. Perez (13-0, 10KOs) weighed 134.8 pounds for the biggest bout of his career, which takes place 90 minutes from his hometown of Oak Hills, California.

Each scored wins on the non-televised undercard of separate Pay-Per-View events in their most recent starts.

Martin stopped Tyrone Luckey in the 5th round of their bout in support of Errol Spence’s 12-round unanimous decision win over Danny Garcia to defend his WBC/IBF welterweight titles last December atop a Fox Sports PPV from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Perez knocked out Joshua Zuniga in the 3rd round of their bout ahead of a Showtime PPV event featuring Gervonta Davis’ highlight reel 6th round knockout of Leo Santa Cruz last Halloween from Alamodome in San Antonio.

Jose Armando Resendiz (11-0, 8KOs) faces Stockton’s Quilisto Madera (12-2, 8KOs) in a scheduled eight-round super middleweight bout. Resendiz—who hails from Compostela, Mexico—weighed 164.6 pounds; Madera checked in at 165 pounds for the evening’s chief support.

Appearing off-TV, former interim light heavyweight titlist Marcus Browne (23-1, 16KOs) returns to the ring as he faces Russia’s Denis Grachev in a scheduled 10-round bout above the light heavyweight limit.

Staten Island’s Browne—a 2012 U.S. Olympian—weighed 179.4 pounds for his first bout since losing his WBA interim light heavyweight title to Jean Pascal in an Aug. 2019 technical decision defeat. Grachev weighed 180 pounds for his third fight since the pandemic. The 38-year-old from Chaykovsky, Russia suffered defeats in each of his previous two bouts, including an eight-round defeat to Steve Geffrard this past March in Delray Beach, Florida.

Below are the weights for the remainder of the undercard, with select bouts to appear on the FS1 telecast beginning 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.
