Archie Moore, Hopkins, Maybe Foreman,JMM had some success...can we name anymore other then Mayweather in the current landscape?? Can we now acknowledge how hard it is to fight on the top level at an advanced age? Some of the same people who ****ted on a 38 year old Mayweather(Tunney aka Freedom) are making excuses for a 39 year old Wlad...

It's happening more lately. And while some might play ignorant, PEDs are a big reason why. Recovery doesn't take so long and it isn't as hard to recover. Same reason athletes are seemingly playing longer in every sport. Combined with how many fewer fights fighters have compared to the past, and fighters excelling late into their 30s and early 40s will happen much more.

Hopkins comes to mind. If I remember correctly wasn't he like 37 when he beat Tito?
Mayweather of course.
Marquez. Sweet Pea was competitive in his early 30's don't remember how old he was when he retired.
Pretty much any defensive fighter who didn't take much punishment makes it to their mid 30's still competitive.
