floyd mayweather's advice to terence crawford on pacquiao: "it's not going to be easy...he's a lot better than what i thought"

Even though i know i made it look easy, it's not going to be easy," stated retired undefeated pound-for-pound king floyd mayweather, who cautioned undefeated jr. Welterweight champion terence crawford about a potential clash with 8-division world champion manny pacquiao. Although pacquiao has yet to decide the opponent for his anticipated return to the ring next april, crawford is one of the frontrunners to land the assignment.

"the mother****er can fight. He's a lot better than what i thought he was. From me being in the ring with manny pacquiao, i take my hat off to him and i can see why he went so far in his career. Terence crawford gotta realize that pacquiao is bigger and stronger than yuriorkis gamboa, and he hits harder," mayweather explained during a recent conversation with fighthype.com. "not taking anything away from yuriorkis gamboa because i think he didn't fight yuriorkis gamboa at 100%, but i don't ever want to take anything away from terence crawford because i like that kid. I really, really like that kid. I don't want to take anything away from him because he can really fight. He can fight, but i don't want him to think that just because i made it look that easy with pacquiao, it's going to be that easy."

Glad he said that, and I agree. It seems like everyone, Crawford included, is just assuming he's going to beat Pacquiao if they fight. When in reality, I'm anything but sure of that. Consider the fact that Crawford was LOSING to Gamboa after the first several rounds (the fight only changed when Crawford's size/power advantage led to knockdowns), and was neck-and-neck with Dulorme up until the knockout midway through the fight. Do you think Manny would be neck-and-neck with Dulorme through 6? He'd be up 5-1 or 6-0, and you know it. Just because Floyd did what he did, doesn't mean Crawford will be able to do anything like it.

floyd made it look easy while pac landed the majority of the clean punches just like cotto made it look easy outboxing canelo oh wait....its double standard time where the guy not landing cleanly wins for some reason because he's a great boxer yet in other fights the guy not landing cleanly doesn't win because his punches aren't effective

surviving 12 rounds with pac=i made it look easy

just shows how much extra some fighters have to do to get any credit while other fighters can just survive and pretend like they won legit. what actually happens in the ring really doesn't matter when you are fighting a perceived monster because as long as you survive that monster people will give you extra credit and ignore the action that actually takes place.
