Amir Khan (29-3, 19KOs) is campaigning hard to get a crack at WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs). After sitting ringside at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, and watching Mayweather win a twelve round decision over Marcos Maidana on Saturday night - Khan feels even more confident of being able to hand Mayweather his first defeat.

There is no disputing Khan's speed or his skill, but his chin has question marks. Mayweather is not necessarily a big puncher and only scored two wins inside the distance in the last eight years.

"In a boxing match, I've never been outboxed. Floyd Mayweather, I don't think he has the power to hurt me. I think when it comes to skills, I will outshine him. And when it comes to boxing, a game of chess - I know that I will beat anyone," Khan said.

Khan fully believes that his particular fighting style will give Mayweather more problems than he can handle. Mayweather will return to action next May, while Khan is planning to stay busy in December.

"Maidana was giving him a lot of problems and I would give him ten times as many problems," Khan said. "The guy he fought who was nearly as quick as me was Zab Judah and he gave him a hell of a lot of problems. I am a lot quicker than Zab and more explosive than any of those guys [that Mayweather fought]."
